Skills for Shares (S4S) Program
The Skills for Shares (S4S) program allows skilled individuals to earn ownership in ZimForward projects by contributing their time, expertise, and specialised services. It replaces the traditional “salary-only” model with a powerful pathway to long-term equity and shared prosperity.
This program is open to everyone — from handymen on the farm, self-taught artisans, builders, welders and drivers, to agronomists, accountants, managers, business professionals, and seasoned engineers. ZimForward values practical skill, lived experience, and technical expertise equally, ensuring no one is left behind and everyone has a chance to contribute and grow.
Each Project or SPV publicly lists its Skills-for-Equity Rate (example: US$5,000 worth of service = 1% equity). These rates are reviewed regularly by the project board and ZimForward according to performance, valuation, and project needs.
Many projects may offer a monthly stipend to cover operational costs such as internet, transport, airtime, tools, or on-site needs. As the SPV grows and begins earning revenue, this stipend can gradually increase and eventually become a full salary where required.
Earned shares follow a vesting period of up to 6 months of active commitment. Once vested, the shares can be transferred, sold, or retained for long-term dividends — giving members real ownership and the ability to cash out when needed.
Skills for Shares empowers Zimbabweans of all skill levels to build, mentor, and uplift each other — while earning real equity and shaping the future of our shared investments.
